This is a blog for information relating to Vintage Military Rifle and Pistol competions run in Sherwood, Oregon. This discipline combines all of collecting, fixing and understanding the designs of old weapons, custom reloading/bullet casting, and marksmanship. Many of these old rifles have simplistic sights and force you to take detailed notes of positions, sight picture and aiming point since you can't just dial in a simple 6 oclock hold.
As of October 2025 I will no longer be shooting or supporting the Rifle matches and won't post updates here, but will keep running monthly military pistol matches and the new blog for rules and results will be at militarypistolmatches.blogspot.com
