September 2014 Sniper Rifle match

We had a good turnout for the vintage rifle match, theme was sniper rifles.  We were well represented by 3 PU snipers, one swede AG41B and one real live 1903A4.  Congrats to the top 4 shooters!  Everyone shot really well and scores were really close. All of the PU shooters struggled with head position becuase the scope is so darn high and was hard to get even a chin weld on the stock, and the bolt is so far forward you have to break position to load a new round.  Ted managed to come in the top four even though he wasn't shooting with a scope.  Offhand is tough with magnification!  Just two more matches to go for the season, see you next week for the rifle/pistol match.

Results:

Frank Burke PU Sniper 292-17V 1st 1st ROM
Eric Johnson AG41B 287-14V 2nd, 2nd ROM
Ted Schrader 1903 281-13V 3rd
Al Flanagan PU Sniper 276-12V 4th, 3rd ROM
Curtis Choy PU Sniper 272-7V
Allen Harper M1 271-8V
